The innovative Technology for Rapid Shell Building & Prototyping.
The MK Cyclone is a complete shell building unit requiring very little space. It consists of the rotating slurry tanks, two or three rainfall sanders and the high-speed drying chamber. A linear robot moves the tree from one station to the other and one shell with 7 layers can be produced within 4 hours without any supervision.

MK CYCLONE – ADVANTAGES AT A GLANCE
- Extremely fast – shells produced in a few hours
- Fully automatic – machine can run overnight
- Superb surface quality
- Geometrics with deep pockets and holes are possible.
- The technology works well for all kind of metals.
- The integrated ACs keep the temperature of shelland slurry stable.
THE SYSTEM IS IDEAL FOR
- Rapid Prototyping / Rapid Tooling Services
- Whenever only a few perfect investment cast parts are needed in the shortest possible time.
- To test new materials and gatings
HOW THE TECHNOLOGY WORKS
High speed and turbulent air remove moisture. Infrared light compensates the chill effect and keeps the shell temperature stable at ± 1 °C. Mirror inside the chamber reflects the IR light to reach all sections of the shell. Continuous rotation of the tree provides a very gentle and even drying. Pre-dried air additionally accelerates the process.
MK Cyclone: the perfect solution for the fast building of shells for Rapid Prototyping.
